13–15 Oct · Manza Beach Resort

Keep these days light. One main outing + lots of beach / pool time is ideal with a 3.5-year-old.

Best at the resort (family-friendly)

Manza Beach – white sand, calm water, coral nearby. Excellent for toddlers (shallow areas, lifeguards).
Beachside pool + Garden pool (kids’ areas available)
Manza Ocean Park (inflatable sea playground, ages 3+) – fun if weather is good and tides allow
Submarine Jr. II – glass-bottom semi-submersible (≈30 min) – great for little ones
Child boat (from 18 months) or simple sea kayak / snorkel if energy is high
Manza Kids Playland – indoor play space (handy on rainy moments)

Ask the Beach Information Centre for current tides, Ocean Park status, and family activity packages. Many activities are available right on the resort beach.

Recommendation: Put the aquarium on the 13th (wetter day). Keep the better weather days (14–15) for beach time.

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium – half day. Excellent for a young child (big tanks, sharks, manatees, outdoor lagoon). Fully indoor so perfect for rain. Leave late morning, back mid-afternoon. ≈40–50 min drive north from Manza.

14 Oct · Better weather expected
Resort beach + pool day. Good day for Manza Ocean Park or Submarine Jr. if conditions allow.

15 Oct · Flexible / lighter day · Mostly clearer
Morning beach / pool. Optional short outing only if everyone feels like it:

Option A – Nakijin Castle Ruins (UNESCO)
Dramatic stone walls and sea views. Beautiful but uneven paths and steps – better with a carrier than a stroller. Keep visit short (1–1.5 h). Adults ¥1,000, kids under 12 free.
Option B – Ryukyu Mura (traditional village)
More interactive for a young child: traditional houses, Eisa performances, simple craft activities (shisa painting etc.). Easier walking and more “play” feel.

If energy is low or weather is mixed, just stay at the resort. No FOMO needed.
